Electric vs. Gas
The very first question that you will have to ask yourself before deciding on which weed wacker to buy, is "Electric or Gas?" Nowadays many outdoor power tools come in electric varieties so choosing an electric model over gas might make sense for you. In general gas power models have more kick to them, meaning they can handle thicker brushy areas, where electric weed wackers, tend to lose momentum and might not be capable of handling larger yards. The main difference is the type f fuel you will use, where for a 2 stroke engine the fuel will be a mix of oil and gas, where the 4 stroke takes gas only. 4 strokes are making a greater appearance in the weed wacker industry because they are also known to be more environmentally friendly since they don't give off as much emissions as the 2 stroke weed wacker does.
